Thee Community Garden
April/2011

On Saturday April 9, 2011 the BPC garden crew got started on this year’s crop. After a delicious breakfast at the BPC Pre K pancake breakfast the crew quickly got busy filling the newly framed beds with a rich mixture of soil and mulch just perfect for a garden. The beds were filled in no time thanks to the eager helpers and the good quality soil. After the beds were filled and the soil leveled we planted cabbage and red leaf lettuce. Hopefully the deer will stay away long enough to have several good harvests. We will be adding other vegetables to the garden as the growing season progresses and the temperatures get warmer.
