BPC was searching for a way to make a difference. Our search for meaningful mission work led us to the Society of St. Andrews, which runs an operation called Harvest of Hope. The genesis of the calling for of this type of service can be found in the book of Deuteronomy, which states, “When you gather the grapes of your vineyard, do not glean what is left; it shall be for the alien, the orphan, and the widow” (24:21). Essentially, the participants enter the fields after the primary harvest and pick (or pick up) the fruits and vegetables that are left behind by the professional pickers. Read More...
