Hendersonville, NC - Mission Trip

The mission trip was a huge success again this year! We got as much out of it as the people we went to help. Pastor Matt, Carol McNair, Jessica Dixon, Jessica Hudgins, Cecilia Harris, Courtney McNair, and Kaitlyn Gardner(Courtney's cousin) made the trek to Hendersonville, NC. After the worship service on June 25, we piled into the mini van and headed out.

The group cleared out clutter, talked, painted, set up furniture, talked, did house work, helped Miss Elsa with her computer, talked and took a boat ride.

BPC Alumni Karen, Courtney and Travis Scheboth are active in the “Mere Clowns” (pictured above) which is a clown ministry at Windermere Presbyterian Church in Wilmington NC. See if you can find them in the picture.

BPC Alumni “Clowning It Up”in Wilmington

Pastor Matt and one of our church’s youth, Justin McNair, recently returned from a week long mission trip to Cranks Creek, KY (good luck finding it on a map).  They went as part of the youth group of Wake Forest Presbyterian Church. All together there were 38 people on the trip, including 6 adult counselors.

Two other churches (one from Nashville and another from South Carolina) were also part of the experience, which was, without question, remarkable. Although everyone had to “rough it” as far as living conditions go, the service they were able to give and the blessings they were able to witness were well worth it.
