Session

Administration, Finance & Stewardship

Responsible for the business/personnel activities of the church which includes responsibility for all policies and procedures; newsletter; office supplies; pastor’s salary and automotive expenses; pulpit supply salary; purchasing; benevolence/ unified giving/per capita apportionment (PSGA); maintaining membership role; and other duties applicable to business/personnel functions of the church. Moreover, the Clerk of Session, with specific responsibilities, is a member of this committee and generally serves as the Chair.

Responsible for the overall financial management of the church and its property, and for developing stewardship programs that recognizes the Christian commitment and discipleship of the church. The Finance Committee oversees and provides guidance and instructions to the Receiving and Disbursement Treasurers.

Building & Grounds

Responsible The Building and Grounds Committee has the sole responsibility for the maintenance and upkeep of all Church properties, including buildings, grounds, furnishings and manse property.

Christian Education

Responsible for planning, developing and implementing Christian educational programs of the church. Moreover, the committee will engage in the process for education and faith growth of the members of the session and church members

Congregational Nurture

Responsible for developing and carrying out fellowship and nurture programs for the congregation, emphasizing needs for better interpersonal relationships among the diverse congregational group. Special attention is given to assimilating new members into the congregation and their attendance at congregational functions; work on committee, and in general, their Christian growth and development in the church.

Missions & Evangelism

Responsible for the church’s primary outreach programs into the community through programs designed for assistance to the poor, the needy; and other mission programs. Also lead the congregation in fulfilling the mission of the church and provide for peacemaking among members and to others in the community in which the church resides.

Worship & Music

The Worship and Music committee is responsible for providing the regular and special worship services of the church through music, reading, and interpretation of the Word and the administration of the sacraments

Youth

This committee is responsible for developing and carrying out the youth programs of the church. It works with other committees of the church to provide youth membership on the committees, both as a tool for the development of the youth and as contributing members. In conjunction with the Presbytery, it works to seek out programs which enhance growth of the youth. Overall the committee is responsibility for faith development and preparation for adulthood as young Christian saints in the faith.
